The operating system for the care sector.
Curam builds the technology, including a regulated infrastructure, that lets care be found, vetted, matched and delivered in hours rather than weeks — on a platform we built ourselves, run increasingly by agents but always under human oversight.
The problem we are built for
Care is complex. Finding and delivering it shouldn't be.
Care is the largest labour market in Europe that still runs primarily on phone calls, spreadsheets and agency margin. Demand is rising faster than the workforce in every country we operate in. Agencies take 30–40% of every hour. Local authorities and health systems pay it because they have no alternative at the speed they need.
Curam is that alternative. A single platform that recruits, vets, matches, schedules, pays and quality-assures care, with an AI layer that removes the manual work that made agencies necessary in the first place.
The sector runs on a patchwork of point solutions, a recruitment site here, a rostering tool there, a separate agency, a separate payroll, a separate compliance check. We believe Curam is the only platform that does the whole thing end to end, recruitment, vetting, matching, scheduling, payment and quality, in one integrated system, with no upfront fees for the families, carers or businesses who use it.
One platform. Several ways to market.
Every entity below runs on the same technology.
Curam UK
The UK's largest introductory marketplace for self-employed Care Professionals. Individuals, families and businesses hire directly, from our online platform and app. Bespoke made and shaped by eight years of live testing.
Curam Managed Care Services
Our CQC-registered service for clients and commissioners who need Curam to hold the duty of care. Same workforce, same technology, full regulatory accountability.
Curam for Business & Government
Shift-filling, workforce management and cost control for care providers, NHS trusts, ICBs and Local Authorities. Transparent per-hour pricing, no add-ons, every shift reconciled end to end.
Curam Ireland
Launched in Dublin in 2026 with a local team and office. Our template for entering a new market: marketplace first, regulated services and B2B layered on once density is reached.
Orla Recruitment
Three in four carers who apply to Curam can't join the marketplace: under 21, under two years' experience, uncomfortable with self-employment, or barred from it by visa conditions. Orla places them in employed care roles on the same matching engine. Through our partners TLC Apprenticeships, it'll also gives the youngest a funded route to qualification and, in time, to the marketplace, creating future experienced carers. Launching November 2026.
Curam Engineering: Ahmedabad, India
Our product and engineering hub, where the platform marketplace, CRM, communications and the AI layer, is built and maintained in-house.
The EU — from 2027
One integrated EU stack, based in Dublin, deployable across the Union: carers and clients can transact on Curam in any EU country from the same platform. What changes is the final mile — the legal and business model is unique to each jurisdiction, built on the rail that country already runs between families and carers, so each launch needs near-zero headcount. Markets are switched on a few at a time: marketplace first, then regulated services and B2B once density is reached.
Our platform, our data
A single in-house platform powers care delivery, operations and AI.
Curam owns its application layer end to end. Marketplace, scheduling, payments, compliance, communications and CRM are written and maintained by our own engineers on a single code base. We started on a third-party CRM like everyone else; we replaced it with our own because no third-party system understands a regulated, two-sided care workforce, and because a third-party CRM severely limits how far AI and agents can be deployed inside the business.
The result is a company that is both a marketplace and a SaaS business: the same platform that fills a shift for a family can be licensed to providers, commissioners and international partners as software.
Eight years, 7 million hours of care and hundreds of millions of data points, every shift, posting, vetting decision, message, call and outcome, is structured data we own. That data is now the training ground for an AI layer that runs more of the business every quarter.

LIVECarer onboarding — fully automated
From first application to live profile, identity, right to work, DBS/PVG checks and Garda status, qualifications, and references are fully automated and easy to recheck. Our human team reviews only the exceptions the system flags. A carer with their documents in order can be live on Curam in minutes, for pounds.
Matching
Carers are ranked against every job on skills, conditions, proximity, availability, price and prior outcomes, not keyword search. Average time to fill: 2 hours. Fastest: 29 minutes.
Client triage
Every inbound care request is read, classified and routed automatically. Urgency, complexity, funding route, regulated or marketplace channel, so the right service responds first time.
Safeguarding across every channel
Platform messages, calls, emails and WhatsApp are monitored in real time for inappropriate behaviour, coercion, financial abuse and other safeguarding risks. Resolved automatically where the case is clear, escalated to a trained human where it isn't, with a full audit trail either way.
AI-triggered care at home, with MiiCare. An Innovate UK Biomedical Catalyst programme (£160k, 18 months from August 2026) combining Curam's national marketplace with MiiCare's Monica, a digital health coach that monitors people at home. When Monica detects that support is needed, Curam's software triggers an escalation and dispatches a care professional to investigate and review, real-time insight turned into timely, human care, keeping people safer and more independent at home and out of hospital. A pilot with local authorities starts in May 2027; register interest at partnerships@curam.io. It is also the starting point for our work with MiiCare on AI-powered assistants in the home Technology that extends what a human carer can do between visits, never a substitute for one.
AI-triggered, human support.
The destination is a care marketplace run end to end by agents, recruitment, vetting, matching, scheduling, payment and quality: at a cost per hour of care no human-staffed operation can approach. Humans oversee every agent, and step in where it matters: in regulated care, where the law requires it, and for the highest-value clients, where they want it.
Our agents orchestrate best-in-class components — telephony, conversational AI, verification, around our own data, workflows and rules, so each one is live in weeks rather than months. Each removes a category of work that competitors still staff with people: revenue that grows with the market, cost that doesn't.
Debbie — carer onboarding
LIVE · OCT 2026Owns the onboarding of every carer who has applied but not yet been approved — chasing documents, verifying them and moving each carer to approved status without a human in the loop.
Carer management
Looks after approved carers — profiles, availability, compliance — and the elements of retention that keep a carer active.
Client agents
Manage the client relationship from first enquiry to ongoing care.
Triage agent
Reads every inbound call and email and routes it to the right agent, or to a human colleague in working hours.
Orla agent
Runs the jobs board end to end, including outbound calls to carers.
Built responsibly. Every automated decision affecting a person is explainable, logged and reviewable, and every decision that limits someone's ability to work or receive care has a route to a human. Our approach to AI is set out in our privacy policy and terms, is aligned with UK GDPR and the EU AI Act, and was designed for a regulated sector before it was required.
Profitable, founder-led, built for the next market
Profitable, founder-led, no institutional capital
Curam has raised over £12 million from private investors and none from institutions. The group is profitable; the UK marketplace is highly profitable. All three co-founders remain in the business day to day.
Marketplace and SaaS in one company
The marketplace generates liquidity and data; the same proprietary stack can be licensed as software to providers, commissioners and international operators. Marketplace take-rate plus recurring software revenue, on one code base we own outright.
Asset-light
We own no care homes, employ no carers on the marketplace side and carry no agency overhead. Growth is a software cost.
Two channels, one platform
The unregulated marketplace gives reach and margin; the regulated Managed Care service unlocks commissioner budgets the marketplace alone cannot access. Most competitors have one or the other.
Proven market-entry playbook
Once committed, Ireland went from build to live marketplace in about six months. The same playbook, the same code base and the same team open the next market — and each one after it should take three to four.
Proprietary data
Eight years, 7 million hours, hundreds of millions of data points, who needs what, when, at what price, with what outcome. No agency has it. No new entrant can buy it.
Acquired supply, fully used
Carer acquisition is our second-largest marketing cost, and until now three in four applicants — roughly 7,500 of every 10,000 — could not join the marketplace. Orla Recruitment places them in employed roles instead, and routes the youngest into apprenticeships with TLC: a second revenue line from carers we have already paid to find and vet, and a pipeline that returns them to the marketplace once they qualify. Launching November 2026.
Automation is the margin
The UK marketplace — 10,000 carers, 7 million hours of care, 800–1,000 new families a day — is run by six people. Ireland by three. Engineering sits in Ahmedabad; senior management is not involved in day-to-day operations. Onboarding, triage and safeguarding already run without headcount growth, and each agent deployed moves another cost line from people to compute. That is why Curam reached profitability organically where every funded care marketplace we know of has burned capital: the platform does the work.
A market that only grows
Europe's over-80 population doubles by 2050, and since Covid families choose live-in care over a care home wherever they can afford to. Live-in is our most profitable segment and the lead product in the markets we are entering. Every government we operate in is looking for a way to deliver more care with less money.
Three ways to work with us
Each has a named lead, not a form.
Integrate
Embed Curam's workforce and matching engine in your own product through the APIs our B2B partners already consume — live today with Lottie, whose care-finding platform runs on Curam's workforce through a joint venture. Care providers, insurers, retirement operators and health-tech platforms. Documentation, a staging environment to build against, and a named engineer from day one.
Commission
Local authorities, NHS trusts and ICBs. Fill shifts at £15.50 per hour all-in, with real-time visibility of spend and a regulated delivery option when you need it. Framework-ready.
Expand
Bring Curam to a new market as our operating partner. We provide the platform, the playbook and the technology; you provide local knowledge and presence. Our first EU markets open from 2027 on an integrated EU stack based in Dublin; conversations are open for those that follow.
